With all the new slow burning powders on the market I would think some of them must work pretty good in the 240 WBY. Powders such as RL 23, RL 25, RL26 , IMR 7977 and even older powders like Retumbo....... Don't seem to have any (much) load data out there. I haven't shot my 240 much the last while but was wondering if anyone is loading some of these newer powders and getting some good results. Any 240 shooters out there trying some new stuff ?

Problem is the 240 Wby case is really nothing but an 06 case that has been thinned down to form a belt. You need to use a 110%+ compressed load with the super slow powders to simply equal a 100% capacity load of MRP.

If my memory is working the 240wby is basically the same capacity as a 6mmAI

As usual just my $.02

I can't believe nobody has tried any new powders in the 240.
