I loaded some 80 grain Barnes Tipped triple shocks and shot them at the range today. Blazing sun and 85*F. Rifle is HOWA 1500 in 25-06. powder H100V, win cases, fed 210M primers. 56 grains....3589, 3594 56.5 grains...3699, 3651 57 grains....3698, 3717 57.5 grains...3728, 3720 This is gonna be one of my deer antelope loads this year. I think Ill load a bunch at 57 grains. ----------------------------------------- I also shot some Hornady 100 grain spire points. same cases primers and rifle. H100V 50 grains...3145 50.5grains...3200, 3188 51.5 grains...3285, 3245 52.5....3394,3309 Looks like anything around 50.5-51.5 would be great. -------------------- THANOS WAS RIGHT! | ||

I have shot and loaded a lot of 25/06 in my time and 57grs is a good mark for imr 4198 and 75gr sierra bullets i use 8-1/2- 120 winchester primers when I can get them. velocity was 3388f/s in a model1200 Parker Hale. I have had good results with AA2700 powder 53grs and 100gr nosler BT cci250m primers for a deer load. velocity is around 3300f/s with my model 70 win."NOTE: THIS IS A HOT LOAD AND i ONLY USE IT IN THE WINTER FOR DEER. iT WORKS FINE IN MY MODEL 70 AND IS A LITTLE HARD ON BRASS. I have had poor results with speer bullets, I tried the 87gr bullets mostly and never did get a load worked up. didnt matter what powder I tried. i will have to get some H100Vand see how it works.
