Ken, Keep a stiff upper lip - you don't need Viagra for that! Know that you have a lot of friends interested in your recovery. My father-in-law had a stroke while splitting wood. A year later he's splitting it again, so keep fighting! Don

Ken my friend, I'm sorry to hear about your condition. I hope, and believe, that you'll have a speedy recovery - I kinda think you're stubborn enough for that! Just lay off the women for a while...

Ken, I've seen many a folks go through this scenario over the years. Although I am sorry to hear about your plight, you just stay fighting (without the agitation), focused, worry-free and happy. You will do just fine! You are who you are and will remain the same when all is said and done (and belive me, more will be said than done!). God-speed to you brother! Best regards,

Ken, Sorry to hear about your stroke. You're in my prayers. Take care; do the rehab; and we look forward to your getting back with us. You comment about the Viagra reminds me of the observation about the cold weather by the first man I practiced law with. "It's so cold you got to file a motion to produce to find the dang thang." Get well. Ku-dude

Ken, God bless you for taking the time to educate and entertain us nuts on this website. When you are finished with the CT scans, echocardiograms, carotid ultrasounds, anticoagulants, lipid lowering regimens, antihypertensives and rehabilitation as indicated, come back and rehabilitate us. Hopefully it was just a little one and won't slow you down. ------------------

Ken, You add so much to the reloading boards that you frequent, thanks for all you do and my best to you for a speedy recovery. May God Bless.

I'll be thinking of ya Ken. By the looks of the typing, you haven't slowed down much... See ya soon!

God bless, Ken, and hang in there! It WILL get better. Do the rehab and be patient; recovery isn't overnight but you do recover. My Dad had a stroke several years ago and I was amazed at what he recovered versus what was working immediately afterwards. You haven't lost your sense of humor, and that's REALLY important. Sorry to hear of your problems, Ken. Relax, get well and resume posting when you fee like it. I always look for your name on various boards and read what you have written -- your words of wisdom really deserve being labelled as such! John P. Ball

Hello all, I am a newly registered member here. I just spoke with Ken a few minutes ago and he asked that I post this on the board here. He said that he hopes to be going home from the hospital next week and hopes to be posting again on this board maybe the week after that. He sounded optimistic to me and sauys that he is improving daily. He specifically asked that I post here to let you know how he is doing. Best, Kevin from ND
<Gary Rihn> |
Thanks for the update Kevin! If you talk to Ken again, tell him that we're ready when he is!

Ken, Get well from from one of the new guys. Your knowledge is respected and appreciated. Thanks, Barry You can do all things through Christ who gives you Strength.

Well, I'm home again, finally, after a forced "vacation" in the rehab unit. Have to use a wheelchair now, and "eat" through a tube stuck into my belly just above the navel (the ONLY way to eat broccoli, Brussel sprouts, okra, or lutefisk!). Also have a somewhat less than beautiful relationship with an oxygen hose. Whoever designed that two-pronged thingamabob to fit in the nostrils had his head stuck in a very unsuitable location for designer glad he never tried his hand as a wildcatter. (Or maybe he did. Some sure don't make much sense. I'm babbling so will quit. Thanks, all, for all the good words from your hearts. You have no idea how much I appreciate 'em all or how long I'll remember you all fondly and gratefully. Ken

Glad to see you back. Sure missed seeing you at the Varmint Hunters Jamboree but since the shootout rained out your didn't miss much. Keep Getting Better.

Ken, Wonderful to see you posting again. Hopefully the PEG tube is a temporary condition that you will eventually be rid of. Pass the broccoli and okra, hold the Brussel sprouts, and I forgot what lutefisk was, so I'll pass on that too. Best Regards,
