?????????????????????????????? Do you mean IMR-4350? I personally think it's a trifle fast for this cartridge. check here www.IMRpowder.com /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I have considered IMR4350 too fast for use in this cartridge with 140 gr bullets, though I have used it to drive the 130 gr Barnes XBT to 3500 fps. My note book shows that I have achieved in excess of 3400 fps using the 140 nosler Bal tip or the 140 Sierra SBT in combination with H4831, and RL22. I have not shot the 140's enough to give you any data about accuracy, I usually stay with the 160 gr class. The Sierra manual does not list a load with 4350 and the 140 gr bullets. IMR 4350 is the fastest powder listed with this bullet weight in Nosler #4. It shows 71.5 gr giving 3299 fps. If possible, I bet you will find higher velocity numbers as well as better accuracy by using a slower powder such as H4831, RL22, IMR7828, WMR, Retumbo, or H1000. Nosler lists H4831 as the most accurate powder in their testing. Idaho Shooter

I agree w/ these guys, IMR831 is about as fast as I would go w/ the 140gr-150gr bullets in the STW. RL22, 7828, H1000 are all a better bet. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

I own two 7mmstw's and have owned a third.imr4350 is too fast to provide decent velocity with 140gr bullets with this cartridge. My guns all performed best with 140gr bullets using imr7828.

I'll answer your question... IMR-4350 From 67.0 grains to 72.0 grains Federal 215 Primer However I have to agree that IMR-4350 was not my powder of choice. I prefered: WMR From 64.3 grains to 77.7 grains Federal 215 Primer

I agree with all of you however heres my problem. I do a lot of reloading for a freind and he shoots a lot of differant calabers and I just dont have the storage space to keep all kinds of powders for him so What I do is use IMR 4198. 4064 and 4350 for all of his shooting needs. So far its worked out pretty well. But then again his and my idea of accuracy and performance are intirely two differant things.
