youngoutdoors6MM REM loads with 55,58 and 65 grain bullets
Just wondered if you all had a prefered load for the 6MM REM with 55,58 and 65 grain bullets. Trying to load for my buddies 40X. Thanks and God Bless, Louis

308SakoMy 40X - 6 Remington came with a test target using 60 grain bullets and IMR 4895. I personally like 68 to 75 grain bullets and IMR 4350

kreytenMy 6mm rem loved the 60 gr sierra hp ahead of 36.5 grs of imr 4895...should also work with the bullet weights you listed...
My old rifle had a 1-14 twist..it was great for the lighter bullets but would not stabilize the "heavier" 100 gr slugs at all...
Good luck

seafire2After testing 15 different powders for the 6 mm Rem with bullet weights from 55 to 75 grains, for accuracy hands down was a charge of 47.5 grains of H 414...
it also had the highest deviation spread over the chronograph...
but it was also a tack driver, from 100 to 300 yds..the 47.5 grains charge was originally with the 75 grain HP, but I found that it was just as accurate when bullet weight decreased.. so pressure is not an issue with the lighter bullets as the load for the 75 grainer was out of an older load manual..

armadilloI loaded 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips with W760 for my 244 Rem and got 4099 fps out of the 26" barrel. Groups were about 2" @ 200 yds.
