I load some rather heavily compressed loads that work well. A Lee Factory Crimp Die is good for preventing bullet creep, but you have to immediately crimp after seating.

As long as the compressed charge does not bulge the case shoulder so you can't chamber the round, compressed charges are OK.

Take care when compressing ball powders. You can dislodge the primers. This problem is exasterbated today if you are useing loose fitting Winchester primers that are on the market as we comunicate. Been there done that. roger
