has anyone ever used PMC brass to reload for the 7.62x39 cartridge? i am just starting to work up a load and am useing PMC brass because i was given 100 of them by a friend. everything went normally until i started priming the cases. the primers were difficult to seat completely. i got them all primed but it was a little tougher than normal. just wondering if there is something different about these PMC cases. thanks for any info....bud

I use 6.5x55 PMC brass and it has been fine and I the primer pockets were fine, some cases have been loaded 3 times and seem fine. Maybe just swage the primer pockets with a primer pocket uniformer and see if that helps.

PMC brass is mil spec so you may have to take the military crimp out of the primer pocket. Luck hotdog [Wink]

PMC is tough brass, but as Hotdog says it's got a crimped primer pocket that must be swagged out to ever be right.

(Now you know why the guy gave it to you. [Big Grin] A lot of folks will throw it away rather than mess with it.)
