Hey I've been asked to relaod som 5,6 x 52 R.

What I now about this caliber is: It identical to 22 Savage Hi-Power. It uses .228 bullets.

But which shell holder shall I order togehert with the die-set. Does it like fast or medium burning powder. Any prefferences for bullet?

Any comments would be appriciateted.

Before you start reloading this number, slug the rifle barrel and check the groove diameter. All the older literature says that the .22 Savage High Power and its clones use .228" bullets. Maybe some rifles do, but my own .22 Savage High Power, which is plenty old, has .224" groove diameter. The use of .228" bullets in it would be a waste.

I found some info in the RWS manual "Wiederladen"
It gives data for a 4,6 gram soft point and FMJ in .228 diameter. OAL is 63.3 mm. Listed powders are:
R903 min 23.0 grain max 27.0 grain
R907 min 24.0 grain max 28.0 grain
These powders are in the range of Vit N135 and N140.
The book says it is a European copy of the .22 Savage High Power.
Hope this is of any help to you.

BTW: I also just found some loads in a Vithavouri leaflet using the same 4.6 gram (71 grain) bullet with the same OAL.
N135 max 23.8 grains
N140 max 25.6 grains
