ruttinbuck, My 300 Win mag gets that muzzle velocity with 75.1 gr of IMR7828 and a 200 gr Sierra Game King (3047 fps avg to be exact). This load consistently hovers around the MOA mark. It is more accurate (consistently MOA or better) with 72.2 grains of IMR7828, same Sierra 200 gr GK, @ 2890 fps. Ain't a Tikka though, just a pathetic old M70 with a wooden stock to boot. Ass Clown. My hunter has the walnut stock as well.I am very happy with the 7828.I have tried the RL22 with some 180gr loads but this is the most accurate load so far in my rifle.

ruttinbuck, A WALNUT STOCK IN BRITISH COLUMBIA!! You must either be old, live under a rock, or insane! My 30-06 simply dotes on the 165 gr Sierra GK, and because of this I have not diverted any of those to the 300 Winnie. I have some 180 grain pills, but I have not tried them. There really isn't a need since the 200 grain bullets work fine, and are better hunting bullets IMHO anyway. I'll work a load up for the 180 grain sometime, though since I NEED to get rid of them. Just something I worked up myself and worked for me. Hope it helps someone. 150 grain SST IMR 4064 at 44 grains @ 100 yards. 5 shot group in a 1 inch group. About the same group out of a Browning A-Bolt 308. http://goups.yahoo.com/group/firearm-accuracy under files

Ass Clown. But I live in the desert part of BC.Its been 95-101'F here for the last week.LOL The Tikka has a 1-11" twist.I have'nt found a 180gr pill that shoots as good as the 165gr BTs or the Hornady 165gr BTSP.I have tried the 180gr Accubonds and the Hornady 180gr BTSP, nothing consistently under 1" groups.I am well under the inch group mark with IMR 4350&7828 with the 165gr pills. The rifle also shot 150gr factory PSP from Winchester really accurate while I was collecting my first brass for reloading. Now that I know what she will do with the right weight of bullet I might load some 180gr Accubonds with RL22 and try them.Just to see how that magic combo will work.
