Mauserkid8x57 Adult loads PLEASE!!!
Need some adult loads for the 8x57 (.323)
Will be using some bulk Remington 185gr. Core lock.
I did a search, and did not find too many. At least I did not. If there is, could some one provide a link?
Thanks....

ricciardelliI have tons of loading data for the 8x57 (both of them), but nothing on the 185 grain bullets...
11 October 2002, 02:41
D HumbargerYou can interpolate that loading data to find a load
11 October 2002, 03:07
ClarkCan you interpolate and extrapolate?
My guess is that the bolt will get sticky with 185 gr and 4895 at 50 ~ 53 gr. Reducing by 6% would make 47 gr a reasonable max load.

<KING>I use 180gr Nosler BT/BT's in an 8x57JS W/CCI mag primers in Winchester brass with N150 a Vhithvouri powder at 50 gr. (worked up in my rifle). These loads are safe in my rifle at 2560fps. Good enough for me, and accurate.

<eldeguello>I suggest you start with Speer or Nosler 200-grain bullet data and work up until you get an accurate load.....

Fritz KrautMauserkid,
Go to
http://www.ladedaten.info/page2.php3 and choose "Ladedaten fr 19 Pulversorten" (Loading data for 19 powders). I think that there will be some suitable data there.
Best regards,
Fritz

hawkyI have loaded 46g of IMR4064 behind a 196g Norma bullet. This is not a hot load but is very accurate in my Turkish mauser with a 3-9x40. I was testing it out today and shot a coyote at 150 yards and another at 175 yards. I can put 3 shots inside the inch at 100 yards.

DUKThe american loads for this great caliber are quite "whimpy", you might go to
http://www.lapua.com/vihtavuori/index.html for the "real stuff". By the way, their powders are the best I ever used.

Major CaliberJerry use a CCI-250 primer and you won't have that problem with AA-2460
