I have a couple of canisters I bought a couple of months ago that I'm not going to use again.

I made a batch of rounds with each, and they've been sitting on the shelf ever since.

I weighed these canisters to see just how much is left.

A 1 lb. canister of Green Dot weighing 1 lb. 1.6 oz.

A 14 oz. canister of Hodgon Clays weighing 15.00 oz.

I'm hoping to trade these either for Bullseye or for some slow burning handgun powder.

Anyone?

Mailing/shipping powder will entail the hazmat and might not be a economic good idea at all.....and further are you willing to trust that the guy you trade with is really sending you what the can says?.....

I strongly recommend one trades only with local folks and folks that he has intimate trust in.....

I agree, plus, you've got such small quantities it's better to just seal the cap's and hang on to them.

Melt some wax around the bottom of the sealed caps and it'll keep moisture out forever even in wet areas.

Both those powders make excellent pistol powders. Just use them up that way. They won't last long if you do much shooting.

What they said. Unless you can find someone that is a local living in your area and you can do a trade it’s just about double the cost of buying new powder.

Seems to me that the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed is violated by this law. How do you keep arms if you can't shoot them and that was the intent of our forefathers?

Smoking357, I think you should take another look at the Hodgon Clays. As far as I know that is their Hodgon's answer to Bullseye as their Universal Clays is their answer to Unique. their burn rates are similar. Look further into this yourself. You may have what you want. If you were looking for Bullseye. I do not know anything about green dot. JB

Thanks for that info. I use the Lee Auto Disk, and the Clays and Green Dot seem a bit coarse. I worry about the throws.
