I went out today to work up some new loads. H-4831,& IMR-4350 was used. I worked up the loads from the minimum to the max. I saw no pressure signs at all. The problem was that some of the brass got stuck and would not auto eject. I had to use a rod to pop it out. This happened on the min loads and on the max charges as well. I used win. brand new brass as well. If anyone could help on why this is happening I would appreciate it. Thanks alot!

I had this problem with the Israeli made Winchester .223 and Wolf .223. I quit using that ammo and have never had that problem again.

One thing I've heard with the NEF/H&R is that if there is any oil in the chamber at all it creates "suction" and holds onto the shell enough that the ejector can not get it out. Wipe the oil out completely and no more problem. This may not be your situation, but something to look at.

I have also heard / read that some of the H&R / NEF Chambers are a little rough. Careful polishing buy your local gunsmith should help the problem.
