I have two and love them.....I've used a Hornady 120 hollow popint for deer and pronghorns but have also used lighter bullets. The 75 V-Max does p-dogs a bit of damage.....(at least) Load them with IMR or H 4831 or 4350 or RL22 or 25 It (the 120) likes slow burning powders and puts venison in the freezer fast. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I highly recommend Loaddata.com. Makes for a pretty cheap online loading manual. the two bit ought is easy to load for ... Take a powder in the 4350, 4831, r19-r25 ... I am partial to 100 gr TSX or Hornady Interlocks for deer (heavier bullets defeat the purpose of the 25 cal), am looking to spit some VMax's at sod poodles this summer. But I always start my load searches at loaddata.

I've had good luck with 85g Nosler Ballistic Tip on top of 55.0g of RL-19, with CCI Br primers, set 0.025 off the lands. The manual lists 57g as max, but I haven't pushed it up that high yet. 75g V-Max with 53.0g of IMR 4350 also looked good (56.7g max). The one thing that didn't work was the Winchester primers. They strung shots vertically over about 6 inches.

Do a search on here and you'll get plenty. One is with a 115gr Barnes XLC (since discontinued) pushed with RL22, lit with WLR, in Win brass. The second is 117gr. Hornady SST, 52gr H4831, WLR, win cases. I'll post a pic of a 3 shot group I fired with it. This, from a sporter weight barrel, and bedded cheap factory plastic stock.

80 yds 100gr. TSX doing 3440fps, RL22, CCI 250 237yds, same load as above. 225yds, 100gr. Partition, doing 3400fps, RL22, CCI250. My rifle has a 25" gain twist barrel, all bullets are impact plated with Moly. Your Rem 700 ADl will not come close to these speeds with it's 22" bbl, but, even a couple hundred FPS will kill things dead as a post.

Try: 75gr V-Max 56.5 gr H4350 Rem. brass Rem. primer Max. from Hodgdon is 58.5 gr of powder, but I get 3600 fps and great accuracy. Seat the bullets about .005-.010" off lands.

I've got 2 25/06's, one a Parker Hale varmint barrel 24", the other a S&W 1500, with a 22" tube. My Parker Hale likes 117gr Sierra's with 50grs of IMR 4831, a CCI 250 primer and Fed case. Vel is 3005ft/sec, and accuracy is 1/2 moa.( 117gr Sierra SBT that is.) In my S&W, I use 120gr nosler SB(still have some),54grs of RL22, CCI 250primer, and Rem case. Vel checkes in at 2965ft/sec, and accuracy is appx 1 MOA. Both are good and safe loads in my rifles. "300 Win mag loaded with a 250 gr Barnes made a good deer load". Elmer Keith

Sure Larry, I've owned two of the 25-06s and both seemed to do well w/ the 115 grn NBTs ahead of IMR7828 52-54 grains. Haven't tried the new IMR7828 SC yet but probably will on my next order. Also had pretty good luck w/ R22 and 100 grainers. Good Luck Reloader

I have a Remington sendero in 25-06 and the most accurate load I have found for it is 36gr. IMR4895 & 120 partitions, cant think of the velocities right off hand but was getting 1/2" 5 shot group at 100yrds. also 117gr. Hornady BTSP with 48gr. Re22 got a 3/4" group at 100yrds.
