Does anybody use this stuff? I bought a pound of it to try in my 7mmSTW and it seems to shoot pretty good while pushing a couple different bullets. I see a lot of talk about RL22, but hardly any about RL19. Am I missing something here?

It appears to be popular in the new WSM calibers. It is not pushing the fastest velocity's in the new WSM's but it is proving to be one of the more accurate.

RL-19 is my favorite powder for 30-06. A max. load of 62gr. under a 150 ballistic tip gives me good accuracy in both of my rifles. Also shoots well in 7x57 and 6.5x55.

A few people have suggested it for 2506 and I gave her a go and, well not for the 115 gr. partition. It gave the worse results out of the 4 powders I tested. RL22 was my best result this early in the process.

muleshoe, RL 19 is an excellent choice, I use it in 3006, 338 Win Mag it is not quite as slow as RL 22 which I use in 300 Weatherby and 375 H H mag, I have good results in all the loads I have used it in by the way RL 15 is great in 338 Win Mag shooting 180 Bt groups under 1/3 inch at 100 yds and vel at 3269 not bad huh? R-19 has a burn rate to fast for 7MM STW in my opinion. It is also heat sensitive which can become a big issue in a case as overbore as this one. I would suggest H1000 with 140 Gr. bullets and smaller and H5010 if you can find it with 160 Gr. bullets and up.
My two .340 Wby's love RL-19. They like some other powders, but RL-19 really shine using it. It is 2nd choice for my .358 STA's. I had a .338 Lapua that also liked it. Good shooting.
As 35nut said, RL19 is great in the 06 class of carts. I use it in my son's 06 & it works well in my .338-06 w/ 250gr bullet. The burn rate is a bit slower than IMR4350. For your STW, RL22 is a better choice.

I use it in the 260 rem and 30-06 with 165 + gr bullets, it also does well in my 25-06. I find it seems to work in the same applications as H4350 or IMR4831 would. Although not alway a better choice it`s worth trying.

Well I was thinking of rolling some of the RL19 into some .270 loads, and now I reckon I will. And, I was thinking about buying a pound of RL22 for the STW, reckon I'll do that too.
Thanks guys.

I use rl-19 in one load i have for my 280 remington. its a remington model 700 mountain rifle with detachable magazine, wood stock, and blue barrel/action. i load 52 grains of rl-19 in r/p cases, remington 9 1/2 primers, and sierra 160 gr. gamekings. they shoot three shot groups under an inch all the time. i have shot a group right around .4 one time. pretty impressive results from a factory mountain rifle with a twig of a skinny barrel.
