Greetings, Time did not allow me to set up a chrony, which would probably answer this question..but at 100 yards the 32gr Sierras hit .5" higher than the 32gr Hornadys (204 Ruger) with same charge of I4198. In fact it happened with 23.5, 24, and 24.5 gr under each bullet. THEN the 25gr loads under each bullet hit same poi, one half inch LOWER than the previous three loads. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks, Jimno Liberals make me puke.

Sometimes bullets of the same weight but different makers will not hit in the same spot. What you have to look for is which bullet shot the best group with a certain powder charge then take that load and work with it. I have a chrono but very seldom use it. The only time is when i'm working with a new powder. I usually start on the light side of a recommended load from a good loading manual and I stop when I find a load that my rifle really likes. I very seldom get to the max load before I find one that shoots for me. my 2 cents Larry

Not at all unusual. A 0-2" difference in point of impact is common place. It's a matter of barrel harmonics---where that barrel is moving when the bullet exits....it's not a matter of speed. Try another brand of bullet (of the same weight) and they might wind up in a nice group but 1-2" left or right. AIN'T RELOADING FUN!!?
