SOrry if this has been discussed before, but I'm really struggling with several batches of 45 long colt brass by winchester. Seems there's a problem in getting a fair percentage of these rimmed cases in and out of the #20 RCBS shellholder. Just tonight I had 9 rejects out of 50 cases - and a good number of the others I could get in and out only by rotating them to a certain position. The extractor groove or base of the case doesn't appear to be consistently round. Result - tough to get 'em in the reloading press and tough to get 'em out.
Confused
Anyone else seeing this??

The shell holder for a 45 auto rim may be a solution.

SmilerProblem was the shell holder. Tried some other kinds of brass and had a lesser problem, but still there. However, I bought another #20 shell holder and the problem dissolved before my very eyes. Gee, thanks RCBS.

I've reloaded some 20 different kinds of cartridges and this is the first time the shell holder was a problem. Odd.
