Found the missing Triple Shock in a roast today! Butcher missed the perfect pedals that were a 121.4 grains remaining of 130 when he rolled-up the roast. First shot (270 at 3050 fps) just missed the shoulder, quartering away at 424 yards and exited the far side lower neck, leaving a 3" hole. Nocked him straight down! Found bullet was finishing shot at 100 yards, end to end. Given the accuracy I'm getting I'm sold.
As to 400 yard plus shots, might be my last. I practice a lot, and at 400 yards, had some strong wind, but a solid rock rest. Wasn't happy with this hit and my other long one in 2000, 324 yards. Both were big deer, this one was only 25"wide but, had 3 of the 4x4 tines branching again and two cheaters off to each side, so 15 total points. Would have been sick if I had lost him.

Thanks for the report. Because of lack of accuracy, I swore that I would never buy another X-bullet, but when they came out with the triple shock, I caved. Now I too am sold on 'em.

I also caved and tried the tripple shock. Put 10 shots into an 1 1/4 inch group today. 308 Win shooting the 168 grain 'XXX'. It looks like these are much more accurate than the standard or xlc...both of which this 308 (or any other gun) didn't like.

I agree, Terry, but it might be a long time before they dissappear from the shelves. One of my local shops put "sale" stickers on his XLC's a couple of years ago, and he still has almost all of them....

I like the idea of the triple-shocks, but I wish they would sell the light-weight ones.... Dutch.

Dutch what type of light weight TS's are you looking for?

I loaded some 95's for my 6/06 last night.

I agree Dutch. I feel somewhat burned by the fouling from the old Barnes X's and I settled back on my orginal idea of conventional bullets for the most part and Partitions where required.

If there was a 120 gr 7mm or 6.5's and 270's with lighter bullets I might bite again.
