I have Remington rolling block .43 Spanish. I slugged the bore and it measures .439 . All I can find in that diameter is paper patch bullets from Montanna Precision. 2 questions: 1) Does anyone make a lubed bullet in that diameter?

2) How do you load a paper patched bullet?

.440 bullets will chamber. I have been told that is what I should shoot. Do you agree?

I can get paper patched .439's but have never loaded one. Where do you get the paper to patch with and how do you put them together?

Anyone care to tell me how to load paper patched bullets into a case and where to get the paper?

Or...give me a reference to read on how to do it?

Doc Easter,
You are getting into a specialty that is best found at a different forum.

The paper is usually specified to be 100% cotton rag. You might raise this question over at BPCR.net or at the ASSR forum.

I am only slightly familiar with it so I will restrict my effort to finding you a reference.

Paper patching

Paul Matthews has written on the subject some

You might try his book The Paper Jacket.

Paper Patching at the Cast Bullet Association

Way too much about paper

If you are persistent in cruising the internet for cast bullets you will find several sources of cast bullets for the .43 Spanish.
