welcome to our forum Roy!!!! i'm haveing a 300 win mag built. but ive not tried bergers vld ever, ive shot sierra 175 match kings and they flew great, ive read nothing but posative feed back on berger bullets, reloader 22 is a great powder for the 300,i'm sure others will chime in with more info,my 308 and 30/06 really like this weight bullet with good reloads, your lilja barrel will do you proud. regards

Try 75.5gr of RL-22 with the 175VLDs. Neck sized Winchester brass, & an OAL of 3.38". Shoots relly well in my Sendero.

I am currently shooting accubonds with great sucess, I guess what I was wondering about more than anything was penetrating power with the Berger VLD??

We have taken around 4 elk and 2 bucks with the .300Win using a ombination of H4831 and Accubonds with great sucess at longer ranges. I have heard many good things about RL-22 in the .300 as well.

4350 works well in mine for accuracy. It is not the fastest load in my opinion. It does stack the bullets close to one another though. Good hunting.

Although cartridge selection is important there is nothing that will substitute for proper first shot placement. Good hunting, "D"
