Just got back from the range with the CZ550 American in 9,3X62, and the first Re15 load I tried gave me just over an inch at 100 yards. I Used 59 grains Re 15 in Lapua brass with a WLR primer. Chronograph gave me an average velocity of 2,405 for five shots with a very small extreme spread. Judging by the way the brass looked and ejected, I suspect I could go up another grain or two. Very satisfying, though. The loads I used with IMR4895 weren't as accurate. Glad these will shoot, as the PH I am hunting with next month in Namibia likes this rifle, in this caliber with this bullet, too. I just loaded another batch with 59.0 and 60.0 of Re 15 and will report on velocity and accuracy of the latter when I get a chance. I'd like to get 2500 safely and accurately with the 250-grain TSX There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author | |||
