when using moly bullets the pressure decreases, is this quantifiable and can you use more than the max load to regain velocity? Many thanks Griff

For too many reasons the drop in velocity is not quantifiable. As a matter of fact, my frustration with moly was that it was erratic. About the time I had the velocity where it should be, more changes. I finally gave up in frustration. In 30 and 338 bores my loads required about 2-3g to get back up to velocity without moly, and that is normal. As an aside, and you didn't ask the question, for hunting guns about the only place I see a use for moly is in varmint shooting where you might put 200 rounds through a barrel in one day of shooting. It will save cleaning and noticeably reduces barrel heat.

Griff, I have been using molly for a number of years, mainly for the reduction of copper fouling. As Bob said, you do not need to clean your barrel after each 20 shots. ------------------ www.accuratereloading.com
