I called Starline today to ask about the availability of .500 Special brass as a reloading component. The woman told me that they would need a lot of requests for this to happen. They would have to make a run of the brass with their own headstamp instead of CorBon's headstamp. I am asking...Please...Please anyone who would like to buy some .500 special brass, to please call Starline and tell them you are interested. Their number is:660-827-6640. Thank You very much for your interest Bart

I'm curious, why not just reduce the loads in .500 Mag. brass??? Bill T.

Because, if the revolver was built as a 500 sp, it will not have the mile long chamber/cylinder of the 500 Mag. Hog Killer IGNORE YOUR RIGHTS AND THEY'LL GO AWAY!!! ------------------------------------ We Band of Bubbas & STC Hunting Club, The Whomper Club

A bit off topic, but if you can catch a re-run of the last "American Rifleman" they do shoot a .500 special out of a Ruger framed revolver if I remember correctly. (I'm no pistol guy so don't hold my feet to the fire over the "ruger frame") It was on some episode where a pretty large guy who custom made some nice big bore (.500 Linebaugh, 45-70, .45LC) revolvers. I remember a peice at the end where the host of the show was asking him about the new .500 cartrige. It may be worth a watch if you are real intrested to hear about it.
