Hi I need som good reloding data for my 375H&H pushing 300 grian bullets @2300-2400 fps with the mildest recoil because i bruise easily . regards yes Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

Here is a reduced load from Hodgdon's webpage: 300 GR. SIE SPBT IMR SR 4759 OAL 3.600" 39.0 grain 1925 fps 53,000 CUP pressure. I loaded some bullets for a friend with that powder, they shoot very well. You can also use Vihta N110 for this kind of load.

Try Reloader 19. Starting off with about 75 grains and go up.

hi thanks for replies Duk it seems your load is a good load for training and olinking use,but that kind of powder is not available here. Saeed it seems alliant reloader and norma powders are same with different name. unfortunatly I can't find reloader 19 at nearby gunshop , but i have an old can of RE15 . can you tel me with reducing the velocity from 2500 to 2300 - 2350 fps will how much reduce the recoil by FP recoil energy? and which kind of powder ? slow burning or fast burning produce less recoil? regards yes Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

Try 58 grains of VARGET. Should be a mild shooter. If its not accurate, try a couple of grains either way in half grain increments to see if a shooter is there. You could also try starting at 56 grains of AA2495 and working up to 61 grains to find a nice shooter with velocities around 2150 fps to 2350 fps, respectively. You learn something new everyday whether you want to or not.

Looking at some of the loading books I have here I would start with 60 gr of RL 15, with a 300gr bullet. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

RL19 is very similar to Norma 204; for the low velocities you are looking for I'd guess that it's too slow, though. Also, if you use a faster powder you'll employ less powder mass, reducing your recoil even further. Without doing a Quick Load calculation, I would guess that N133 should do the trick pretty well, we used N140 for a full-power load @ 2500 fps. Let me know if you need an estimation on N133.

hi duk the N140 is possible to find here and is quite a good powder and rather fast too.i may begin with load them from the minimal sugessted load by vihtavouri co . in my other rifles i have a good exprience of this powder . very clean burning and accurate. regards yes Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

N140 is indeed very universal, from the 5.6x50 R, 6.5x57 R, 30/06 to the 8x75, 9.3x74 and others. Like I said, for the velocity range you are looking for N133 might be an even better choice because it's a little faster.
