I have a set of 10mm dies and now I want to reload 40 S&W will they work????? I looked up the dimesions and the 10mm looks a tad larger at the base. I'd like to shoot these in an Oly 40 Glock carbine.

Thanks Brad Smiler

They should. My dies are marked 40/10mm. I have used them for both 40 S&W and 10 mm. You might need a different shell holder. Can't remember whether I use the same one or not.

Some dies will do both, it is mostly a matter of thread length on the expander plug, will it adjust IN far enough to properly expand the shorter 40S&W case....

the next issue is if the seater/crimper die body is short enough to be adjusted down to crimp the shorter 40S&W case.

I haven't actually tried doing either with my early RCBS carbo die set for 10mm, I bought those dies before I ever heard of the 40smith
