Just bought a couple pounds of a new powder(to me) 6.5 StaBall that I wish to use in my 6.5 Creed and .270 Win.

Would like to hear other shooters results using this powder in the .270 and 6.5.

Thanx!

It gives some top numbers for 338WM and 375 H&H on Hodgdon's site, I have been meaning to pick some up when I get the chance, but have not yet.

So I am also waiting on first-hand reports.

I've only used in the 270 Win and it is outstanding.

I have so much so called "old powders".

I most likely never try the "new" stuff

With Staball, I've had good luck with 44.1g behind the 142 grain SMK in the 6.5 Creedmoor.

Im down to maybe 20 or 30 lbs. of old milsurp H4831, the stuff that Jack praised..It gets me more velocity and less pressure than anything Ive tried, but Lordy do I hate that stuff, its grain cutting horror, should weigh every charge and add or subtract form your load,,,I quit using it and have gone to RL-19, 22, 15, 17 and some others that don't require weighing..makes my life happier...but with the shortages I have gone back to the old 4831 ...
