When I use the 120 grain Nosler ballistic tips for practice or varmints, I use 65 grains of IMR 4831 or 69 grains of Re22 (Federal primers + Winchester cases). In my Speer manual, it lists 57 grains as a starting load for 760, but that is for their 120 grain bullet and not the Noslers.

If I used 65 grains of IMR4831 behind the Speer bullet, I would be at max load. Tell us the bullet type, perhaps you will get a better response...

Ray, I am a very big fan of the 120 gr. bullet in the 7mm mag. It is usually pretty easy to work up a good load from 3450 to 3500 fps and with a 3.0" zero at 100 yds. you can shoot flat out to 350 yds with no hold over to worry about. I like H4831 and IMR7828 but several others will do a good job. Your 760 will work, but you may have to give up 100 fps. Good luck and I believe you will be impressed with the results.
