I don't know if this has been mentioned here before, but wondering if anyone has the Quick Measure powder measure. If so, please comment on how well it works or doesn't work. They claim it's fast and does not cut the powder.

I am considering buying the Quick Measure or the Redding Match Grade 3BR. I read a review, but would appreciate your opinions. A friend of mine has high praise for the Redding unit.

It`s fast, it doesn`t cut powder just as claimed, it is also very consistant. I find it a bit of a job to adjust for charge though.

The single up & down motion to charge your cases is very quick. The way it despenses powder will not let it cut or pinch extruded powders.
The newer electronic measure/scales are getting closer to it in price today, and I think they may be in the long run a better set-up for home reloading. They seem to be as fast as one needs, just as accurate, maybe more, and quicker to set-up.
No, I don`t have a electronic, and yes I do have a Quick Measure and am happy with its performance.

I have a Quick Measure and more than $400.00 of Mr. Johnson's extras. I used mine on a Dillon 550. It takes a bit of time to learn how to work it properly. It is better than other measures with log grain powders. But it is not as good as my RCBS 1500 load master.

I have made a powder die with a funnel on top that fits my Dillon press. I changed the code parameters on my RCBS 1500 and it is very fast and accurate. My Quick measure is collecting dust in the corner.

I have a Redding I bought over 30 years ago it is not the Redding Match Grade 3BR but looks like it without the baffle, it cuts/shears off any long extruded powder. A friend of mine that was into bench rest shooting sold his BR3 to buy a better powder charger but I don't know the name it was not electric.

Hope this helps

Thank you all for your honest and informative responses.

Longshot, I did some searching after I posted and saw your initial posts about the Quick Measure and was hoping to hear from you. I think I will go with the RCBS 1500. I had a Lyman 1200 DPS 3, but had too many problems with it. A friend of mine has the Lyman 1200 and RCBS 1500 and is happy with both.
