What kind of velocity are you looking for? the plain old 2700 fps loads? or something more ( which I would not waste time with using a round nose) or something down loaded for less recoil?

I loaded some HDY 180 SPILs w/ H380 (53 grains) for a hunting friend. He was shooting a Rem 700 w/ a 22" Factory Tube. That combo shot pretty good from that rifle.

H4831 is a Good Powder to use also.
