Started working up some loads with reloader 19, had pressure signs and not a lot of speed with imr7828, imr4350 worked pretty well 2801 with 92gr but very light extractor marks and slightly flattened primers. So- I am currently working with reloader 19

Temp 50 degrees f Bullet Hornady 300gr spbt
91gr-2624,2640
92gr-2672,2645
93gr-2710,2693
94gr-2737,2726 (no pressure signs moa.)
Just loaded up a box at 95gr will probably just use this load if no pressure signs.
By the way anybody have any loads for woodleigh 350's?
Got my load info from steve's pages (thanks steve!) listed loads with 300gr bullets and reloader 19 from 86-98 grains. 98grains would be a barn burner. Think i'll use the nosler partition 300gr bullets for deer and woodleigh 350's for elk this year when i get a load worked up with the woodleighs. [Big Grin]

sakofan,
Its a remington 700bdl, just changed the factory irons to ghost ring in a weaver base shooting better and gained 10" in sight radius.

FYI--my friend just got a 700 rem with a 26" barrel. He brought it over and we chrono'd rem's 300 grain swift factory loading and it did 2830 fps. Rem can sometimes load some pretty hot ammo but I would think you should be able to approach this speed with using caution.

PS--we only shot about 10 rounds and he packed it up and headed to the local smith to get a brake put on it!! Not for the timid--that's for sure.
This gun is heading to Alaska for a bear hunt this spring.

I understand what your saying about recoil i fired 35 rounds the other day, i don't think i will shoot over a box from now on. it felt like someone had been punching me in my face and shoulder. I can easily get 2830 with a 300gr bullet but i'm seeing pressure signs in my gun.

Most of the RUM calibers thrive on RL22, RL25 and Retumbo. Have you tried any of those??? RL19 is about the same burning rate as 4350, which is not optimum with heavy bullets like your .375 uses.
