I am going to try out H1000 in my .300 Win Mag with 180-grain Barnes triple shocks. I intend to start low and work up to the published max load of 81 grains. I expect that 81 grains will be a somewhat compressed load in that cartridge, especially with Barnes bullets, which are longer than conventional bullets. However, in the past, with other powders, I have not gotten good accuracy with compressed loads in the .300 Win Mag. I am hoping that accuracy does not deteriorate at compressed loads with this powder. Have any of you gotten good accuracy with H1000 in this cartridge? Did you get good accuracy with somewhat compressed charges?

My 300 Win Mag will deliver 1/2 MOA with 80 grains of H-1000 and a 200 grain Swift A-Frame. Federal brass and Federal Match large rifle primers. Chronos just under 2,900 fps

I, too- am getting excellent results with H1000. 80.0 grains over a 180 Ballistic Tip for a chronographed 3000 fps. 1/2 inch all day long if I do my part

I!ve used 80grs of H1000 with a 190gr Hornady Interlock. This is a compressed load. Vel was 3066ft/sec Groupe was 1.200' at 100yds--5 shots. Firearm was 24' barrel BSA.
