I recently aquired a Ruger M77 MkII All Weather (SS/Synthetic) w/24" bbl. I just felt the need for a small bore in my battery and have always liked the 06 based family.
I live & hunt in Mississippi.
Primary uses whitetail deer and possibly varmints ie. coyotes & bobcats, etc at sometime. I am partial to the Hodgdon Extreme powder concept - insensitivity to temp. change BUT am open to any suggestions.
Currently looking at the Nosler partitions (115/120 gr), and the Accubond (110 gr) But again I am wide open to suggestions.
What has worked for you?
Thanks

If you like Hodgdon Extreme powders then look no furthur. A maximum load of 54 grains of H 4350 gives me 3410 fps from my 25-06 when loaded behind a 100 grain Nosler partition.

This load works for all the applications you mentioned. I have shot a bunch of wild hogs with the 25-06 using 100 grain Partitions and they really put them on the ground.

This is a maximum load, you should work up from a few grains below.

7828 and R22 work great for the bullet weights you listed.

Temp sensitivity happens with the so called "Extreme" powders just as it does with others IME.

Good Luck

I have two 25/06's. One is a 22" barrel Smith & Wesson, and the other is a 24" barrel Parker Hale. With max loads of IMR 7828, IMR 4831, and RL22,and the 117gr Sierra I can get 3000 ft/sec in my Smith & Wesson, and 3090 ft/sec in the Parker Hale. Both rifles give me excellent accuracy when using this bullet with these powders.

Why not use your 110/115 for deer and use the Hornady 75 for the coyotes?
I use H4350 with the 75 gr V-Max and easily get into 3700 feet. It really elevates the smaller vermin.

My 25,06 likes powders in the IMR-4350 and RL-19 range. One powder I have not tried but I should is IMR-4381.
Lots of people seem to get great results with powders like RL-22 and 25 or IMR-7828, but my rifle just is not as a curate with those powders.

Regarding IMR-4831, I just tried a load of 52.5 gr of IMR-4831 wiht 100gr Sierria HPBT Matc hbullets. I got 5 shot groups under 1 inch at 100 yrds. The rifle is stcok Rem 700BDL Varmint special. It does not like IMR-4350 or H-4350, but when I used teh IMR 4831 the groups reallytightend up. Next I'm going to try H4831.

A pretty mild and accurate load is
52 Grn IMR 4350 and the 100 Grain Sierra.
Very accurate and easy on brass, hard on deer and varmints.
