I had no luck making 204 from 222mag. My 204 is a #1 ruger with a pac-nor barrel. With the shoulder on the 204 pushed forward as it is the 222m case would go into the chamber to far for the firing pin to hit the primer. Thus i HAD TO ACTUALLY GO OUT AND BUY FACTORY AMMO. Enough of the disgusting details, but the stuff actually did go off.

drichi, I made up a batch using 222MAG brass with no problems when used in a Savage 204 VLP. Other than the fact that it was about the same trouble as having to "fireform" AI cases! It worked fine and accurracy was acceptable but I didn't want to waste any more 222MAG brass and found 500 once fired 204's for 105.00 shipped and just went to that. As far as neck turning.....didn't need it for this particular rifle. GHD
