I was going to put this on the existing 243 thread but did not want to hijack it. I am about to load some 105 gr Hornady for my ZKK 600 BRNO 243. I will be using federal brass, CCI LR primers and was going to use an undecided amount of H4350. However, on the other thread Stonecreek put a bit of doubt in my mind by suggesting slower powers for the 100 gr plus 243 loads. Any suggestions? I would be most obliged.

there's nothing wrong with 4350 for a powder, it is probably THE powder for 243 for a stick powder

To my knowldege, Hornady does not make a 105gr 243 bullet. Can't find it on their website. Could you be referring to the 105gr Speer?

Jay, Stonecreek gave good advice in the other 243 thread..
I have used a lot of H4831 and H4831sc. I shoot mostly 95gr burgers and with 46grs velocity is just under 3200f/s,, 26" barrel.
There is nothing wrong with H or IMR4350..
At around 2900f/s with 100 or 105 bullets.
I caution shooting these loaded hot for very long.

My 'go to' load for the 243 105 grain is 39.5 grains of IMR 4350, using both of the Speer 105s, spitzer and round nose.
The more accurate of the two is the round nose.
Not sure if the round nose is still made but I've still got a few boxes.
I was using a Browning Safari grade, believe it was a Sako made for Browning. Then I got a Ruger 77 in 243 for tinkering with cast bullets. Both rifles liked the 105s.
