I've developed an 84.0grain H4350 load in my MRC M1999 375H&H Ackley using Federal GM215M primers and 300 grain failsafes. I'm getting a chrongraphed 2692fps and 1.250" groups it has a 5 shot extreme spread of 11fps and SD of 4. Seems like an excellent load - Just curious what others have exsperienced with CT fail safes in the accuracy department.

My .338-8mag is a 1/2" shooter with either the 230g FS or the 250g Nosler Partition Gold.

The failsafe is probably one of the best game bullets that I have used. But maybe not the most accurate overall, but that's at the point of splitting hairs. I have a .340 weatherby and a .338 Win that both perform well with the 230 gr. Failsafe. The .340 (Wby. Mk V) day in and day out is a true 1 moa rifle and the .338 (pre-64 M70) will hold 2 -2.5" at 200 yards day in and day out. Most of my range work is at 300 and 400 yards and at this range I can consistently hit an 8" steel plate with both rifles using the Failsafe. Though I have a .300 Wby that is abysmal in the accuracy department with failsafes.

I still have some for my 270 WSM. They shoot around 3/4 MOA. I have only used them on a 250 lb. hog. It dropped in it's tracks. The bullet passed clean through.

I use the 270gr in my 375H&H over RL15. Not a real hot load a little over 2600 around MOA. Works great for hogs and milk jugs.
