Is there any reason the price has dropped so much on there web site for this brass. I was under the impression that this was made by norma and should be of good quality. It is showing $19.95 for 50 box Thanks, ED

Yes there is a reason. Because they can’t sell it for the price they’ve been asking for it.

Thats a given........... What I was wondering is the quality better than the other brass in that price range. ($20 for 50) I am trying to decide on a brass to use in my new rifle. I have some Lapua,Norma and at that price I would buy some Nosler if the quality is there. Thanks, ED

CORNERSTONE I have been using Nosler brass lately and like it. Before that I used mostly Norma and Winchester. The Winchester had some problems like split necks and took a lot of work to prep to the same quality as the Norma, but was serviceable. The Nosler has not given me any problems and it is nice to get a box and just load it like it is. It does not hold as much powder as a Norma and is heavier. I don't need any brass right now but have switched to Nosler because it is cheaper than Norma and comes in bigger quantities. 20 cases in a Norma box is just not enough. ____________________________________ There are those who would misteach us that to stick in a rut is consistency - and a virtue, and that to climb out of the rut is inconsistency - and a vice. - Mark Twain | Chinese Proverb: When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others. ___________________________________

What Nosler headstamp brass do you see for $19.95? The only brass I find for that price with their headstamp is some of the bagged seconds. I recently picked up a couple hundred pieces of Nosler .270 win. brass and it is excellent in every way. I quickly weighed a few random cases and it was very uniform... like within two tenths of a grain for 20+ cases!

I have been loading for years, mostly 9mm and 357. As of lately I have started target shooting with several caliber rifles, 26-06 Rem 257 Roberts and 243 Win. I have been using Remington and Winchester brass. What kind of performance inhancement could I expect to get from say Nosler or Norma brass? I've had Norma brass in various calibers and I found it to be very soft. Some of my friends that reload said the same thing. Never had any trouble with it. Usually when necks split the brass is work hardened too much and needs annealed or the sizing die is sizing it down way more then need and then it gets expanded back out with the expander ball, and all these works it. This is where the Redding bushing dies come in handy. Just size down the amount needed to hold the bullet firmly. American brass has seemed to gone down hill some. So you all say Norma probably makes Nosler's brass? Joe

I have been loading Nosler brass in .30-06 and think it is top notch and worth the money. It comes out of the box ready to go except for sizing and chamfering. I just bought a bunch of Winchester .223 and after a lot of work preppping it am realizing that I should have just bit the bullet and spent the money on Nosler brass in that caliber too. LWD

It’s apparent to me that Nosler wants to expand the company. They’ve only been known as a premium hunting bullet manufacture for years and there is only so much profit in premium hunting bullets. Now they have (although limited) top shelf rifles, new (some are old) bullet designs and calibers with their Combined Technology line. Now they have top shelf brass. They need to ask top shelf prices for it but very few people see the need to pay the extra price for a product that they don’t know anything about. So their sales are neutral and they need to do something to get people to buy it and get the word out that this brass is great. How do you do that? You put it on sale.

I'd be interested to know who really makes Nosler's brass, it is damned fine stuff IME, and I have bought quite a bit. If it is made by Norma, it's a good bit different, I like Norma brass also, but it is softer--which doesn't bother me--I don't know if that's supposed to be a good or bad thing--and the Nosler brass has a wee bit less case capcity in comparing the brass that I have.

I have some 300RUM Nosler brass on order.I am going to compare it with Remington brass and see if I get tighter groups.Has anyone had better grouping with this brass?

I get better consistency with groups with it. I've been trying to decide between Win and Rem brass and I decided to bite the bullet and try the Nosler stuff. I'm sold. It's nice stuff. Tuff. And I really like the ability of open the box and load it. No prep, unless you want to turn necks and uniform primer pockets. I shoot it in a .300 win mag. I really think you're going to see the 300 RUM guys going nuts over it. JMHO -Everybody has a dream hunt, mine just happens to be for a Moose.- -The 30-06 is like a perfect steak next to a campfire, a .300 Win Mag is the same but with mushrooms and a baked potato-
