I've been working with some test loads in the 9.3x64. There is not a lot of data and certainly even less with some of the newer powders. I can't get anywhere near the amount of IMR 4350 in my RWS cases that Nosler suggests for their 286 partition in my 98 actioned x64. So I'm working with a couple powders slightly faster. Imr 4007 and RL17. I've worked up to near max loads (IN MY RIFLE) of 72 grs with both these powders. The 4007 really shoots tight groups and the RL17 is almost as good. Its a little cold in Manitoba this time of year to drag the Crony to the range to check velocities. Could someone with Quickload run both these loads. RWS cases ,286 gr partitions,72 grs of 4007 and the other with 72 grs RL17. Thanks

Is there no one who can help with some ballpark pressures and Velocities??

I run it with QL. OAL:3,37" and an 24" barrel. 72grs of 4007 : 74.000psi, 2700fps 72grs of RL17 : 69.000psi, 2700fps CIP max. pressure is 63.800psi Martin

Thanks for that Martin. Those pressures seem a little high. One of the pressure indicators I was using was case head expansion of factory loads vrs my handloads in new cases. Some of these cases have been fired 3 times with these loads and the primer pockets are still tight so I'm thinking the throat in my rifle must be long enough to reduce that pressure a bit. Using the same criteria what would the pressure be with 76 grs of IMR 4350 with the 286 gr Partition ?
