What kind of luck are you fellas having w/ the new Short Cut version? I'm using up the last of my 7828(metal can) and thought of trying the new SC. Also anyone finding any difference between the older metal can runs of 7828 vs the new stuff? The new plastic containers of IMR4759 just doesn't seem to perform exactly the same for many of us Savage ML2 shooters. Thanks, Reloader

It worked fine in my 300 Weatherby. Same loads as the old stuff.

Same with me.....just like the old 7828 except it meters like RE powder. I found it's now useful allthe way down to the good old 30-06 with heavy bullets.

It loads more densly than the regular stick powder, so if you have a cartridge/bullet combination for which regular 7828 is just a bit too slow, you can get more of the SSC version in the case. Obviously, it meters better. I like it so far in a .25-06.

I have switched to the ssc version in my .260ai & it works better because the same load isn't crushed during compaction. I have tried it in favorite load in my .280 & there was no diff. in accuracy or vel. I'm sold. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

Looks like I'll give it a try. I haven't really had any compression problems w/ the regular 7828 in 25-06, 7RM, and 300WM but, this could open the posibilities of using it in some different carts. Anyone tried it in 270 Win? May be a good choice w/ the 150s. Ya'll have a good one Reloader

I would think it will give you sim. performance as it does for me in the .280 w/ 160gr bullets. I get the highest vel. along w/ very good accuracy using 7828. I don't have to use ssc in the 7mag or .280 but it gives 100% load density in the .280 w/o compression. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!
