Last year, a close friend asked if I would work up a load for his Browning A-bolt .270. I used Hornady 150 gr. RNs. I got it to 1 MOA, made up a box and delivered it.
During the first week of the season this year, he called to tell me he killed a 10 point at 198 yds. with the combination. He said the buck dropped in it's tracks. You couldn't get him to hunt with PSPs now if you paid him.

Hey it is my second most favorite bullet for a 30/06.

My first is a 220 grain ROUND NOSE!!

I will take a round nose any day over an SP type bullet.
Within 250 yds, they are better than an SP, any day on game performance.

IN a 300 Mag, the few times I carry one, it will be loaded with the 220 grain RN also. ( at about 2950 fps, so, kinda hot)

Cheers and Good shooting
