I've some questions concerning the rcbs big max.
What years were they produced, and in what numbers? On auction sites, they almost never
appear, while the rock chuckers are everywhere.
What does "A4" stand for? Are they really great
presses, and worth looking for? Thanks in advance.

When the Big Max was in production we bought some of them for use in a manufacturing plant assembling press fit assemblies. I already had an old Rockchucker then. I found the extra motion due to the length of the long handle and the extra leverage unnecessary for my reloading.
It would be good for heavy case forming operations or bullet swaging. But it is a very poor choice for bullet seating or sizing small cases.
