Barnes made the X and now makes the TSX and
Banded Solids in 286gr and 250gr flavor.

Privi Partizan makes a 285gr bullet too, I believe Graf's sells them for about $20.00/100, so much for "no cheap practice bullet" complaints.

My rifle thinks the original X bullet is match grade, putting them into one hole at 100yds.

Don't know if they are still available, but Norma supplied the North American market for many years with their 286 gr. slugs, first with brass-coloured jackets, then with nickel-coloured ones.... They are what I have stashed away for my 9.3 WSM.......

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

Both Speer and Nosler make them!
