Question for the .17 guys: I'm ready to start working up some .17 Fireball loads and have purchased everything but bullets. I plan on starting with the 25gr Bergers or the .27gr Kindlers. As both brands of these bullets are pricey, which one would you recommend for best results? 1:9 twist 26" bbl Rem brass Benchmark 7 1/2 primer Thanks, Boom My .25-06 shoots 1/4" all day long.....

Hey BoomRM, Berger makes some excellent Bullets for shooting "Paper", I'm not convinced they make a Hunting Bullet, regardless of the propaganda. Never heard of a Kinder. So I do not mislead you, I DO NOT have any 17cal Centerfires, they are too small for my old fingers. I hear folks speak well of the Hornady Bullets in 17cal though and of course Remington made some fine ones at one time. Best of luck to you.

For years, the Berger 25gr. match bullet has been considered to produce the finest accuracy, by which all others are compared. Also, the Kindler 27gr. Gold is a very nice bullet. Your barrel may have a preference for flat-base or boat-tail bullets. I would also suggest that you try some of the Hornady 25gr. VMax bullets. Hope this helps. Kevin
