Do a search on www.reloadersnest.com they have tons of reloading data. I have a 1940's Sukalle rifle in 257AI and I found enough data at RN to help me get started. Good Luck! Focus on the leading edge!

77 Welcome to the world of AI's. I started with the 257 RBT AI and went kinda crazy from there. I have a Mexican Mauser customized with an aftermarket barrel and stock and it shoots the best with Rem. 100 gr cor-lkt and IMR 4350. I got my Data from Hornady Fifth Edition and the Nosler Fourth Edition Manuals. Make sure to double check any data you get off the net against published Manuals if you are not sure. Steve E...... Be sure to try the Hornady 75 grain V-Max. That bullet shoots well in every .257 RAI that I have seen so far. I like IMR4895. Good luck. Geo.

There are some loads for your 257AI in cartridges of the world using IMR 4831,4350,and 4895. Try P.O. Ackleys books as well. van

I must recomend IMR 4350 for these bullet weights and IMR 4064 for the 75 grain bullets. If shooting 110 - 120's go to either IMR 4831 or 7828 which ever your rifle prefers. Member NRA, SCI- Life #358 28+ years now! DRSS, double owner-shooter since 1983, O/U .30-06 Browning Continental set.

I have one with a 26 in. McGowan barrel on it. I shoot 100 gr. Sierra spitzers exclusively and IMR-4831. My rifle gives me a touch over 3400 fps. with a touch over 53 grs. and the accuracy is great. I've also had some great velocities with Norma MRP or 205 if you can find some of the latter. 99% of the democrats give the rest a bad name. "O" = zero NRA life member
