Hi V.Max nosler with a fancy name and a fancy price! Tried some a while ago did'nt notice any difference from any of the other bullets I use. look good though!!! whoever did the marketing for these did a great job! look good, sound good, twice the price but not twice the performance!!! average bullet not worth the extra!! There is an article in the last issue of Shooting Times with an pretty good look at some bullet comparisons. I found it rather informative and interesting. There were some amazing similarities and some stark contrasts in comparing. I paid particular attention to the comparability of the Hornady interlock, Speer grand slam and the Nosler partition. The Nosler edged out the other two in "most" aspects (not all) but not by much! GS and Interlock appeared VERY similar and comparable. The only real stand out bullets IMO were the Swifts, very nice mushrooming charcteristics at different velocities. The Barnes and Failsafes were in a class of their own leaving narrow but deep channels. I havent tried them myself but I expect Griff is right on the money. They are close enough to the same thing as a Vmax or Btip that any difference wont be much. [ 09-15-2002, 02:35: Message edited by: Wstrnhuntr ]

I use them in my 7mm Rem mag and like them alot. They shoot very well for me. I also use the Barnes X in this rifle and it loves them. Their performance on tough game (Aoudad, Nilgai) has been great. Just a contrary opinion for what it's worth.
