Just acquired a very nice M1A. I will be shooting 150 grain FMJs or Nosler Accubonds.

Anyone care to share their favorite recipe for M1A?

My M1A Match rifle likes 43.3 gr Vihtavuori N140, with Federal 210 in RWS brass, and 168 Sierra MK. Velocity is 2550 fps.

I just finished building a HB rifle on a Hall action in 308 with a 0.334" neck.

Turning necks is not one of my favourite pastimes.

But, I turned a few cases and tried 48.0 grains of BL-C 2 with Berger 150 grainer, Federal 210M and RWS brass.

The very first group looks like a slightly enlarged one hole.

I have not got the target back, but this group looks very good.

168 hpbt, 40gr AR-Comp.
168 hpbt, 41gr I4895

Gun doesn't like 147's. Haven't tried 150's

For what ever reason 748,BLC2 never shot good in my M1A.

Just measured the first group I mentioned above.

0.166 for 5 shots.

Not bad for a first load in a new rifle! Smiler
