9mm federal (rimmed) made from re-sized 38spl brass.

Load data is for Alliant Power Pistol Powder only!

115gn FMJ 5~7gn (five to seven grains)

124gn 4~6gn (four to six grains)

147gn 3~5gn (three to five grains)

Winchester small pistol primer, or CCI small pistol primer.

Start with a clean 38 special case, Cut to 19.15mm in length (measured from the back of the cartridge) Full length re-size in a Lee carbide 9mm full length die. Clean the ruff edges up, and you now have a piece of 9mm federal rimmed brass. If you own a 38 special revolver, do NOT load your 9mm federal ammo with more then 5gn (five grains) of powder with intent to use them in your 38 special revolver, there is more pressure in the federal rimmed cartridge then the 38 was intended to harness. On a side note, the difference in 9mm (.355") and 38/357 is .002", so while I don't have any moral issue with shooting .355 out of a .357, id advise against shooting .357 from a .355 gun.

Actual specs of the cartridge at hand.

9mm Federal rimmed Bullet 9.02(.355) Case length 19.15(.754) Rim 11.02(.434) Base 9.93(.391) Neck 9.65(.380) COAL 29.69(1.169)
