From the other old primer/ powder question: The old federal flat package 210M large rifle primers did not have a coating nor does the older CCI 200's BUT the newer Federal Premium GM210M primers have a red coating over the primers. HAS this coating made a difference in performance for those of you that use these Federal primers? Thanks, Jim

I primarily use CCI large rifle primers, when I couldn't get them I used whatever I can get my mitts on. Consequently I've ended up with some WW and some Federal large rifle that have the red coating on the inside of the primer. To be honest I can't tell the difference between the 3 (CCI, Fed and WW)the loads I've shot them in have no POI change or group size change I can use them at will.
