Just wondering if anyone has any favorite loads using this bullet. My PH in Namibia says it is his favorite for large plains game, and I'll be taking my CZ on the hunt.

Well, gee. No replies. I did a search for 9.3 and it looks like Re 15 or H414 are the go-to powders here. Barnes data show the 250 at 2,644 with 60-grain MAX load of H414. I have both powders on hand, so will try the H414 first.

Bill,

I took 286 Noslers as the 9,3 was my "light" rifle and I wanted to be certain that the projectiles would open up on smaller game too.

Took Impala, Warthog, Wildebeast, Kudu and Zebra with that rifle. No recovered bullets. All passed completely through. Only the Kudu (who obviously had not read "The Perfect Shot") required a second shot. Everything else was DRT. The Zebra dropped directly down on his knees.

I have used the X and TSX on Hartebeast, Gemsbock and Cape Buffalo when hunting with a .375 or a .416. I like them, but they're not needed for plains game.

My 9,3x62 likes RL-15.

Bill,

Sorry , I didn't see your question earlier. (not that I have anything intelligent to add!)

I have had excellent accuracy results with the 250g TSX and Varget. I went by the book, worked up to max, and now have a 5 shot honest 1" group every time. The same weight Swift A-Frames also group quite well. The list of components are Laupa brass, Fed 210M primers, Varget, and the afore mentioned bullets. I should have also noted that I got on this load from several others posting here.

My rifle is a model 721, Douglas barrel, Timney trigger, Leopold 2-8. I think I could improve groups with a target scope, but I probably won't get that carried away.

Good luck!
