Question for some of you Hunters. How many states allow hunting with FMJ's, in particular the flat and round nose. Noticed some of the heavier flat nose are comming out with full jackets. Would like to try in my lever gun.

My spelling sometimes sucks, letting the fingers get ahead of the brain.

I just had a conversation with the chief of Montana Fish and Game, since there was another discussion along the same lines somewhere.

I was informed that Montana has NO restrictions on caliber or bullet type. He even informed me that .22 rimfire is legal for hunting here!

(And I'll guarantee you that there will be some idiot trying to drop a bear or elk with one...)

Ricciardelli, need to recheck but I don't think California allows solids, or FMJ's. But then again there's not much that California does allow.

Cannot be used in the state of Oregon and the game regs states that military FMJ cannot be modified and used! Think they are still legal for pelt shooting but that a mute point since there's no money in that anymore.:::::::MV
