I use a lot of H4198 in my 7.62x39. I am all out and so is every local suppliers around here. Some of these guys are telling me that they have placed their orders and can't get it anymore.

Now that Hodgdon owns IMR, I'm hoping that they do not reduce down to one 4198 and that being IMR. I have loaded a bunch of IMR 4198 and it just doesn't perform as well as H 4198.

Anyone have any scoop on the two 4198's and if both will still be available?

Funny, I find more consistent results in IMR's than Hodgdon's.. Hodgdon's is more reloader friendly at the bench, especially in smaller cases.. but at the range the exact opposite is true in my rifles...

Guess differences is what makes the world go round...
