I have 3 boxes of 150gr original tbbc in 284.
Is this bullet suitable for whitetail or is it to heavily constructed?

Thanks. Everything I'm reading about them toutes them as a "big game" bullet. I'll load some up and send them down range.

There is no such thing as too tough bullet for hunting.

This bullshit was started by Art Alpin with his Lion Load bullets.

The worst bullets ever invented!

They were supposed to be perfect for lion.

I would never use these on anything.

Have shot so many game animals in Africa with TBBC bullets in several calibers.

From 270 to 416.

Worked perfect on everything from dunkers to buffalo.

It’s a solid shank well made bullet.

If you do your part, it will work.

That being said, it is a premium controlled expansion bullet. A cup and core bullet at normal velocities works fine for deer.

If it’s what you have, and you want to use it, it will work well… but so will any other hunting bullet. Deer aren’t that big that it’s a issue. That bullet will work on pretty much anything, including moose.

They are a great bullet, but Ive shot so much camp meat in Africa with solids to convience me that if you place about any bullet in the heart/lung brain or spine that you will make meat and kill but not destroy the animal..I prefer a bullet on the tough side for even the smallish Texas Whitetail and the even smaller coues deer of west Texas..If I am trophy hunting I tend to use a softer bullet on the same deer, but thats another post..
